Flower Market

Edition 2021 canceled / An annual flower market is held the first weekend of May

Saint Benoit is a 4-flowered “Best Kept Town” award winner and is particularly proud of its annual flower market. The town council launched the market in the town centre in 2002 with a dozen or so professionals, who brought some 20 000 plants for sale.

The first weekend in May sees trees, bushes, flowers and garden paraphernalia take over the town centre and, more particularly, the grounds of the listed historical XIth century Romanesque abbey.

Books on every aspect of horticulture, various demonstrations and activities as well as a horticultural exhibition round off this amazing event which draws 15 000 to 20 000 garden enthusiasts come to purchase plants and receive the best advice possible from professionals.

The aim of the Flower Market is to promote the love of gardening and the on-going floral embellishment of Saint Benoît in a friendly, happy ambiance.
